Sleep. DIY. Fire.

Day 16: I’m thankful for sleep. And luckily for me, sleep has always come pretty easily to me. Of course I have those nights, just like everyone else, where my mind races and races, making it difficult to even process one thought at a time, let alone rest, but on a pretty regular basis, sleep and I get along just fine. I wouldn’t consider myself a morning person, but as I get older wiser, I also appreciate crawling out of bed a little earlier so as to make the most of my day. And as it turns out, my internal alarm clock wakes me up whether I want it to or not. For example: I got home from my Saturday night closing shift at 4:30 Sunday morning and fell into bed around 5:00 AM. But just like clockwork, I was wide awake at 8:30. I was perfectly fine all day yesterday, but today has been a bit of a strugglefest. And now we’ve come full circle…gosh, I’m thankful for sleep. I firmly believe that a consistent sleep schedule is the very best thing for you. Or at least it is for me.

Day 17: I’m thankful for DIY projects. I guess Pinterest, the home to all of my DIY inspiration, should really get the credit here. I’ve been pinning for a long time, but over the past couple of weeks, I’ve actually started creating a few of the things I’ve pinned. What a concept, right?! I have a gallery wall in the works that I just can’t wait to share with you guys once I make a little more progress. This weekend I’ll be gifting a dear friend with a bridal shower gift inspired by HER Pinterest board. Pin browsing is my new favorite way to find the perfect gift.

Day 18: I’m thankful for fire. In the form of both our fireplace and the half a dozen candles I have lit in my house every single night when I get home from work. I credit fire for making this transition from summer>fall>winter a little bit more bearable. I don’t think I’ve ever blown through candles as quickly as I’ve blown through my Cider Lane candle.

I promise I’ll start including pictures in my posts again sometime soon. To be honest, I’ve been so busy crafting and DIYing that I haven’t been taking too many photos.

I hope your week is off to the very best start!
